to the environment / incident in a legal and justifiable

Professional Handcuffing for Private Security

This course
was specifically developed for the security person and is
not a law enforcement course that is being modified (or
worse being used as is) for the security profession, will
teach you advanced handcuffing techniques ~ this is not
academy handcuffing. The participant will learn how not only
how to handcuff the compliant subject, but the non-compliant

friendly system that is adaptable for any straight baton,
including expandable. This very practical system enables
officer to discover the versatility of the baton.

course, participants will learn the ground is just another
place to win.
This
program covers all areas of ground fighting beginning when
you are off balance and closing on recovery to standing.
Unlike other systems this program has been designed around
the officer (and all of their equipment) working in the
field. Learn how to make the ground ‘your ground’ and more
importantly learn how to win!

EDGEWISE
– Tactics for Edged Weapon Confrontations

Program (16 Hour advanced training program is available)
This edged
weapons awareness course is designed to provide knowledge of
the knife culture and how to effectively handle an edged
weapon assault (EWA).
Course
components stress the dangers of edged weapons, such as
knives, screwdrivers and picks, and instil a belief system
of success and survival. The physical and mental attributes
required to deal with dynamic EWA are demonstrated and
explored. At the end of this course, participants will have
an understanding of the knife culture, preventative
measures, dynamics of an assault, proper use of force
guidelines and more importantly, and an increased level of
confidence if ever involved in a confrontation. Topics
include but are not limited to:
ØSafest ways
to defend against overhead, thrusting, arcing and spinning
edged weapons attacks.
ØBest
counter attacks to stop the assailant, including concepts of
Physio-kinetics and Time-framing.
ØDefense
against an opponent with multiple knives.
ØDefense
against edged weapons from the ground.
ØDefense
when your hands are already occupied, such as with a firearm
and radio (or memo book, or flashlight or handcuffs etc.)
