Calvin Millar CHPA

(CEO / Chief Facilitator / Lead Defensive Tactics Trainer)

Calvin has been developing and delivering training programs for more than 15 years. He is the Past Provincial Director for the American Women’s Self Defense Association, a Chartered Member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association, a Senior Member and Ontario Vice Chair of the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety and a Member of the American Society of Industrial Security. He is an instructor at the Kombat Arts Training Academy in Mississauga and alumni instructor of the Modern Warrior® Defensive Tactics Institute on Long Island, New York.

 

Calvin currently works as a security manager for a major healthcare facility and has over 12 years experience as a security professional working in a variety of security fields and as a private investigator. He has taught and delivered programs nationally and internationally for corporations, healthcare institutions, government agencies, community groups / organizations and professional conferences.

 

Calvin was selected as a subject matter expert to participate in committee and provide input and recommendations to the Ministry of Corrections and Community Safety in the basic training requirements for security professionals.

 

Dean Turner

(Lead Safety Training Consultant)

Dean has an extensive background in First Aid, complimented by years of community service and consulting experience. Dean began his career as a First Aid instructor with the Department of National Defense, where he spent 12 years training soldiers for overseas duties.

 

He furthered his First Aid knowledge and skills through work with the Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.  He has many instructor trainer qualifications with the Red Cross and is a Master Trainer with the Royal Lifesaving Society, the Industrial Accident Prevention Association’s Young Worker Awareness Program where he also sits as member of their Executive Committee Board.
